Recipe: Cherry Ripe Crumpets

I love Saturday mornings! It’s the only morning that I can get up and make some pancakes or crumpets, indulging after a long hard week!
Crumpets have been somewhat of a tradition in our family. My grandmother always made special crumpets to have with our curries. Two of her crumpets were enough […]

Recipe: Banana and Prune Cake

I rarely make sweet recipes. It’s not that I can’t do it, but I find it messy and too much cleaning up afterwards. Lately though, I’ve come up with some easier ways to reduce the mess. I’m sure these aren’t new methods at all, but they certainly are new to me!

This would be great with some yoghurt or a dollop of cream.
Ingredients:

1 […]

This version has is very near to the real anzac cookie mixture and taste just as good. If you’d like it sweeter again, add another tablespoon of golden syrup. The diet version is also very similar in taste.
Ingredients:

3/4 cup rolled […]

cherry ripe porridge with cranberries

This porridge is quite tasty and quite a nice way to start in the morning. It’s very low in fat using the essences to get the flavour and using stevia powder for sweetness. This photo was taken without any milk. Top with milk afterwards or mix some extra light ricotta cheese in […]

banana & walnut chocolate cake

I’m trying to create some cakes that are low in calories here and although this is a little soft on the inside (it was better the day after). It’s not a bad start. This also has the bonus of not having any eggs in this.
Ingredients:

0.80 chopped, 1/4 cup (28.4g) of Nuts: Walnuts, […]
