Recipe: Home-made Cranberry Muesli

For some reason, I’ve never really been a big muesli fan. I can’t really give a reason why, especially seeing nearly every day I make oats. This was all up until a couple of weeks ago, when I had a craving to make some muesli from home.
The fruit and nuts were purchased [...]

Recipe: Vegan-style Fish & Chips

Image: Mixture of sweet potato and potato cakes and fries, onion rings and hotdogs in batter.
Vegans, you don’t have to miss out on the fish and chips - although there isn’t any fish in this dish at all. How about good old onion rings, potato cakes (or scallops as some people know them as) [...]

Recipe: Vegan Hot Dogs

Image: Vegan hot dog in a not-so-vegan bread roll and tasty cheese.
There’s one thing I love is hot dogs, especially in batter, and, although in Australia, Sanitarium make a great version, I really do want to try and make one from scratch.  This isn’t quite there yet, but this hot dog (withouth the colouring) has [...]

There’s not much preparation at all, as the bruschetta mix can be found [...]

When trying to come up with something for my dad’s party for myself to eat. I looked at some various vegan sites for ideas. I did look at the Vegan Ribs by Susan V as suggested by reader Jamie, however Julie Hasson’s sausages took my eye at the same time and I came [...]

Recipe: Firey Red Pepper & Arugula Pesto Cannelloni

(Served with a little rocket/arugula, leftover roasted pepper
and dressing of white balsamic vinegar and a good extra virgin oil.)
This week I’ve got an extra special recipe to coincide with Fatfree Vegan Kitchen’s Vegetable Love 2008 competiton. I’ve been concocting this recipe in my head for a couple of days, tweaking the flavours, [...]

Recipe: Vegetarian Cordon Bleu

Following on from the Vegetarian Weiner Schnitzel a couple of weeks ago, this recipe uses the same ingredients but a little add-on from it.
I think it definitely earns it’s own recipe because it’s such a mouth-watering treat! Placing a piece of rich swiss cheese (or in this case, Vegetarian Edam cheese) and some [...]

Recipe: Cranberry Sherry Sauce

This quick and simple sauce goes with the Camembert, cranberries & walnut stuffed vegetarian roast, it can also go with meat dishes such as chicken or turkey.
The lemon juice balances the sauce out allowing a not-too-sweet sauce to be drizzled over your desired roast!
Ingredients:

4 tbs cranberry unsweetened jam
2 tbs dry sherry
1 tbs sugar
1 tbs lemon [...]
