There’s a new ad on Australian TV, where a daughter and her mother behind, goes up to the counter to order a Happy Meal. The cashier asks the child whether she wants the apple snack bag or the fries. Which option would most kids choose?
Although McDonalds, want to look like they are bringing in these healthy options, we all know that “having a choice” will always mean the unhealthy option will always be chosen.
How many kids do you know would choose an apple over fries?

Well, it’s good that they are serving some better choices. And I agree the kids wouldn’t likely choose them. But the parents *should*. Of course, if they are taking them to McDonald’s for meals in the first place, they probably aren’t all that conscious of their child’s health.

Yes it’s great they are providing some healthier alternatives, but I don’t know many kids that will choose an apple over McDonalds’ fries (myself included at that age!)…I’d like to see how well they do, but I would say like you, that parents wouldn’t be thinking of their child’s health going to McDonalds!
