The following recipe was an accompaniement to Braised Tofu with Shitake Mushrooms which will be posted next week.
This one’s quite simple and inspired by Kylie Kwong’s Simple Chinese Cooking where she cooks her vegetables with Oyster Sauce and other ingredients. I’ve simplified this further and reduced the ingredients cutting out a few to allow this to be vegetarian.
Cooking time is about five minutes in a wok!
Serves:
One
Ingredients:
- 6 broccolinis
- 1/2 cup cabbage chopped roughly
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic mince
- 1/4 tsp ginger mince
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- salt
- white pepper
Instructions:
- Place the cabbage and broccolini in the wok and slowly place the ingredients in individually mixing.
- Once the broccolini has gone bright green and the cabbage has softened, use some tongs to place on your plate.
- Pour the sauce onto the plate and season with salt and white pepper.
