Recipe: Green Masala Rice

This is a very simple recipe, that’s usually made with meat, but I’ve changed it to be vegetarian. You can use fake vegetarian beef chunks in this or just use more chickpeas.

Apologies for the bad photo, but it was taken in the night time.

Ingredients:

  • 30 grams chickpeas
  • 9 pieces vegetarian beef chunks
  • 1- 2 tbs green masala paste
  • pinch salt
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion diced
  • rice 1 serve (I used brown rice)
  • tomato (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook brown rice seperately.
  2. Saute onions in pan.
  3. Add all other ingredients, minus paste and rice. Heat until cooked through.
  4. Combine rice and stir.
  5. Mix paste in to your taste.
