These delicious fries are better than the real thing! I was able to find some ready-made polenta in a local supermarket but it’s sooo easy to make that it doesn’t matter if you can’t find it at yours.
I’ve served this with some parmesan crusted asparagus and a vegetarian parmigiana. The whole meal went great and I’d recommend making it an all-in-one Italian feast!
To cook the polenta at home, follow the directions on your pack, allowing to bubble for 10 minutes constantly stirring. Spread onto a tray flat and refigerate until it’s hardened. Slice into fries size.
Serves:
- 1 serve
Ingredients:
- 100 grams ready made polenta, chopped into fries
- grated reggiano cheese
- salt
- pepper
- 2 tbs flour
- 1 tsp water
Instructions:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bag minus the water and polenta, shaking.
- Add the water and polenta and shake again.
- Shallow fry the fries until golden brown on each side and serve.
