Want to feel like your being wicked when you’re eating a snack, but not wanting the extra calories that peanuts have? These roast chickpea nuts are just the thing! There’s no oil used to roast these, only dry roasting in the oven with spices! Delicious served warm or cold!
Ingredients:
- 1 can chickpeas, drained
- pinch sea salt
- cracked pepper
- cummin seeds
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp fennel
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.
- Mix the spices together and place in a bag.
- Pour in the chickpeas and shake until the spices have mixed through.
- Pour the chickpea mixture onto a tray and place in the oven.
- Cook for 45 minutes or until the chickpeas have browned and dried. Ensure that you stir the chickpeas around a few times, otherwise they will stick to the pan!
