Recipe: Tangy Tahini Pasta

This vegan recipe was concocted after trying to come up with a pasta consisting of tahini. When you normally think of tahini, you think of the vital ingredient to hummous, this little piece just might change your mind on that!Other pasta recipes you might be keen on:
- Chickpea Pasta with Leek and Mushrooms
- Lemon Mustard Chickpea Pasta
- Bready Tomato Pasta
- Butter Beans & Fetta Spiral Pasta
- Burnt Butter Gnocchi with Asparagus
- Salsa Pasta with Guacamole & Nacho Cheese
- Mushroom & Chives Cream Cheese Pasta
Serves:
- dinner for two
Ingredients:
- 2 tbs tahini
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 3/4 sliced red onion into rings
- 2 tsp garlic mince
- 120 grams chickpeas from can drained
- 5 tbs lemon juice
- salt
- 2 serves wholemeal pasta cooked
Instructions:
- Saute the onions and garlic in a pot with the olive oil
- Pour the chickpeas in and warm through
- Mix in the tahini, lemon juice and salt to taste
- Warm and stir through your pasta, ensuring the tahini mixture has combined with the pasta

I’ve taken the offending photo down after yumsugar.com mentioned it looked like poop. I’ll be remaking this later down the track and adding a more attractive photo. Apologies for those who have been turned off the offending photo…it really does taste great even though it doesn’t look it.

I know, but I’ve recovered a little. The author sent me an email advising it wasn’t meant to offend. I guess it’s hard to recieve bad criticism but it comes with the territory. At least I’ve learnt a valuable lesson, not to put up average photos!
