Recipe: Tangy Tahini Pasta

This vegan recipe was concocted after trying to come up with a pasta consisting of tahini. When you normally think of tahini, you think of the vital ingredient to hummous, this little piece just might change your mind on that!Other pasta recipes you might be keen on:

Serves:

  • dinner for two

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbs tahini
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 3/4 sliced red onion into rings
  • 2 tsp garlic mince
  • 120 grams chickpeas from can drained
  • 5 tbs lemon juice
  • salt
  • 2 serves wholemeal pasta cooked

Instructions:

  1. Saute the onions and garlic in a pot with the olive oil
  2. Pour the chickpeas in and warm through
  3. Mix in the tahini, lemon juice and salt to taste
  4. Warm and stir through your pasta, ensuring the tahini mixture has combined with the pasta
