Saturday’s game against Mentone was warm. Who would’ve thought it was going to be so hot from the cold morning start?

I got out to Mentone with a mate and had to wear my shorts with just my underwear as it was too hot to even wear long pants in the game.

A few of our team including myself were a bit off on our games and although we still put up a fight we came through with 3 all draw.

I even let two of the goals in with no real attempt to save - I just wasn’t ready. A little disappointing but I still manage a few saves…

It certainly was a wake up call and we’re lucky it happened in a practice match before we start our real games…
