After a hectic week last week and a mild bug on the weekend, I’m ready for a quiet one! You got an extra special treat on the weekend with the Firey Red Pepper & Arugula Cannelloni, which was entered into the Vegetable Love 08 comp on Fatfree Vegan. This dish is well worth a try as there’s homemade pasta, pesto and sauce involved. It did take a little time to prepare but the end result was amazing! I’m not sure how long before I make it again…
Oh, and I almost forgot! I’ve been nominated by Wellforce for the E-for-Excellence for blogs. Thanks Wellforce, much appreciated! I think nominations are viral, so at some stage, I’ll be checking the rules out and doing my part in nominating some of the blogs I admire!
Melbourne’s weather currently is the usual hot one day, cold the next, so I’ve been mixing up the recipes made. I’ve had some salads here and there, but also made some winter treats. This week, I’ve included some of these winter treats for you. Now by mentioning that, don’t expect your casserole dishes here! I’ve been able to throw some spice onto the table and bring out a lovely vegie “chicken” curry with rotis on the side. Also on the menu is some bangers with a nice rosemary and thyme gravy. I’d recommend serving this with an alternative mash recipe…not your straight-up mash kind.
